  • A note on going between rotational variables (e.g. &theta, &omega, etc.) and linear variables (e.g. x, v, etc.) can be found in the Helpful Information section.

  • All In-class worksheets can be found in the In-class Worksheets section.
  • I will be your discussion Teaching Fellow for PY 105 (Elementary Physics I) for the Summer (Term I) of 2007. I will be holding office hours once weekly (see below) and by appointment. I am a second year graduate student with a BS in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The goal of my discussion sections will be to help you master all of the material covered this year in PY 105. If you have any questions / comments / concerns about any aspect of PY 105 or if you would like some particular information added to this website, please contact me.

  • N.B. If you cannot make my office hours and prefer not to make an appointment, or if you would like a different TF's perspective on a particular topic, there are three other discussion TF's: Mark Betnel, Rachele Dominguez, and Joel Tenenbaum, five lab TF's: Kaca Bradonjic, Anndrew Clough, Jake Davis, Mark Dickison, and Erik Lascaris, and, of course, Prof. Skocpol. A table of their office hours can be found here (current as of 21 May). Some changes are needed in this section. Namely, Rachele's discussions are now being taught by Andrew and Andrew's labs are being taught by Kevin Ann. Mark Betnel's discussions are now being taught by Yu Chen. As for office hours . . . who knows . . . I will look into it, but the hours posted here should be pretty close.
