Latests Results from IceCube with an eye to the Future

The IceCube Neutrino Observatory, located at the geographic south pole, is the largest high energy particle tracker ever built. IceCube is uniquely sensitive to search for high energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin. Initial analyses of data taken with the completed detector have lead to the discovery of a diffuse astrophysical neutrino signal. The source objects capable of accelerating these neutrinos, and possibly cosmic rays, remain unknown. I will review the latest results from IceCube and describe the current effort to contribute to multi-messenger astrophysics. Finally, I will introduce a proposed detector expansion to target the discovery of neutrino point sources.
