Phenomenology with sterile neutrinos - From neutrino oscillations to dark matter searches

Abstract: Several recent experimental results have revived the idea that light
sterile neutrinos might exist. In the first part of this talk we
investigate to what extent this hypothesis is supported by the data,
and where the remaining tension lies. In the second part of the talk,
we explore how sterile neutrinos can modify the phenomenology of
direct and indirect dark matter searches by mimicking or modifying
genuine dark matter signals.
