Abstract:
New approaches to the study of jets have changed approaches for
searches for new physics. I will show a simple application of jet
substructure variables which extends the sensitivity of the LHC to
composite color octets, and argue that certain substructure variables
can now be considered a standard part of the toolkit used to design
searches for new physics beyond the standard model.
