Magnetism and multiorbital models in the iron-based superconductors
Note: 11:30 AM
Speaker: Daoxin Yao, Sun Yat-sen University, China
When: February 16, 2011 (Wed), 11:30AM to 12:30PM (add to my calendar)
Location: SCI 328
This event is part of the Condensed Matter Theory Seminar Series.
Abstract:
I will give a brief review about the Iron-based superconductors and
introduce the magnetism of parent compounds. I will then show how to
estimate the exchange couplings from neutron scattering data. I will
talk about the two-orbital, three-orbital and five-orbital models,
compare results with neutron scattering, ARPES, STM, etc. The
superconducting states will also be touched.
