Abstract:
I will talk about the minimal model of conformal technicolor and how the electroweak symmetry breaking is delivered in this theory. The chiral symmetry breaking follows the pattern SU(4) —> Sp(4) and generates two uneaten pseudo-Nambu-Golstone bosons: a composite Higgs and an additional neutral pseudoscalar composite particle. The compositeness of the Higgs and the particular vacuum alignment allow the theory to stay within the electroweak precision tests with minimal fine tuning. The issue of flavor and UV completion will be also briefly addressed.
I will then discuss some preliminary remarks on how such a model might
appear at the LHC.
