SUMMARY:Minimal Conformal Technicolor
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Ruggero Tacchi\, UC Davis\n\nPart of the HET Seminar
Series.\n\nAbstract:\nI will talk about the minimal model of conformal tech
nicolor and how the electroweak symmetry breaking is delivered in this theo
ry. The chiral symmetry breaking follows the pattern SU(4) --;> Sp(4) and g
enerates two uneaten pseudo-Nambu-Golstone bosons: a composite Higgs and an
additional neutral pseudoscalar composite particle. The compositeness of t
he Higgs and the particular vacuum alignment allow the theory to stay withi
n the electroweak precision tests with minimal fine tuning. The issue of fl
avor and UV completion will be also briefly addressed.\nI will then discuss
some preliminary remarks on how such a model might\nappear at the LHC.
