Physics Graduate/Undergraduate Mentorship Program - Interest Meeting
The Physics Graduate Council and Women in Physics (WIP) are collaborating on creating a Mentorship Program for Physics upper-level physics undergraduates. Undergraduate mentees will be paired with graduate student mentors to help them connect better with the department's research community. At the same time, the program provides a resource to help undergraduates with both academic and non-academic concerns. Our goal is for undergraduates who participate in the program to have the opportunity to engage with more of the Physics Department, and to have a smoother transition from college to graduate school or their career after graduation. Students will be assigned a mentor to meet periodically, and we will be holding social events and seminars throughout the semester. We encourage interested students to come to our introductory event on Wednesday September 16 at 6pm EST. For more information, email jingham@bu.edu & zhous@bu.edu.
