	torship.pdf\n\nThe Physics Graduate Council and Women in Physics (WIP) are 
	collaborating on creating a Mentorship Program for Physics upper-level phys
	ics undergraduates. Undergraduate mentees will be paired with graduate stud
	ent mentors to help them connect better with the department's research comm
	unity. At the same time\, the program provides a resource to help undergrad
	uates with both academic and non-academic concerns. Our goal is for undergr
	aduates who participate in the program to have the opportunity to engage wi
	th more of the Physics Department\, and to have a smoother transition from 
	college to graduate school or their career after graduation. Students will 
	be assigned a mentor to meet periodically\, and we will be holding social e
	vents and seminars throughout the semester. We encourage interested student
	s to come to our introductory event on Wednesday September 16 at 6pm EST. F
