"The vicissitudes of dark matter at the LHC"
This event is part of the HEE Seminar Series.
Developments over the past year have demonstrated the power of the LHC to compliment and, in some cases, extend direct detection and galactic searches for dark matter. We present a series of new searches for dark matter that represents the culmination of these developments. In addition to an order of magnitude improvement in sensitivity to dark matter, we discuss the impact of these searches on our understanding of electroweak boson production. Finally, we explore the future of dark matter searches. We consider a new class of searches using hadronically decaying bosons discussing new and we discuss the future implications on dark matter models and, more broadly, hidden sectors. Can we make a definitive path to dark matter discovery?
