The ΛCDM paradigm has been remarkably successful in explaining the large-scale structure of the universe, but it fails to accommodate the observations on galactic scales. In this talk, I will discuss recent developments of self-interacting dark matter(SIDM). I will show that SIDM can provide a consistent solution to the small-scale issues across all scales, even though individual systems exhibit a wide diversity in their properties.
