Lectures and tutorial material for summer school

Cmputational Statistical Physics

NCCU, Taipei, Taiwan, August 4-11, 2010

These lectures introduce quantum spin systems and several computational methods for studying their ground-state and finite-temperature properties. Exact diagonalization and quantum Monte Carlo algorithms will be discussed in the lectures. In the afternoon tutorials program implementations will be briefly discussed before hands-on work with the programs available through the links below.

Lecture slides
[Part 1] Introduction to quantum spin models
[Part 2] Exact diagonalization (including the Lanczos method)
[Part 3] Quantum Monte Carlo simulations
Programs used in afternoon tutorials
