Lepton Dipole Moments

Professor Lee Roberts and co-editor Bill Marciano of Brookhaven published Lepton Dipole Moments, a thorough review of the measurements of the magnetic dipole moments of the electron and muon, the measurements of the fine structure constant, and the theory associated with magnetic and electric dipole moments. Professor Jim Miller and Research Assistant Professor Kevin Lynch also contributed chapters. The medium energy group is now also pursuing a new experiment to measure the electric dipole moment of the neutron, where a significant deviation from zero would signal physics beyond the Standard Model.
