Community

The Physics department hosts an array of events throughout the academic year. The heart of these events is our weekly Colloquium Series, which seeks to bring forefront physics research to the larger BU community. Additional field-specific seminars are also held weekly.

Our media has grown steadily over the past year, from advances in our department and alumni websites, to an increased presence on various social media.

The department has also continued its strong outreach effort within the larger Boston community. We hosted courses for High School physics teachers through our Improving the Teaching of Physics program, and developed a new immersion workshop for Elementary School teachers.

Over the next year, we hope to develop many of our outreach efforts, improve our media standards, and maintain a strong presence in the Boston University and Boston-area communities.
