Abstract:
New inventions and ideas are rapidly improving the prospects for a high luminosity muon collider at the energy frontier. In a few years, the LHC and Tevatron will point us toward the desired energy of the next lepton collider. We are on multiple paths, including those synergistic with global and national energy goals, toward understanding the needed technology. Starting with the luminosity frontier machine at Fermilab, “Project X”, and continuing through the upgraded neutrino physics program, we envision the path toward the energy-frontier muon collider.
