Abstract: “I will discuss some of the recent activity in the area of
dark matter direct detection, including the recent experimental
results from CDMS, CoGeNT, XENON10/100 and the outstanding positive
detection claim by the DAMA collaboration. I will consider some of the
theoretical models that were suggested in the literature and confront
them with current bounds”.
