Many lines of research add up to a clear case that our universe is not forever: it is expanding and cooling from an exceedingly hot dense state. I will review major pieces of the evidence that establishes this impressive extension of the reach of natural science. The theory is incomplete: we don't know the nature of the dark matter, the cosmological constant is seriously enigmatic, and some properties of galaxies bother me. But this is the way it is in natural science: we have useful approximations that we are confident future generations will improve.
