Elementary: Is This the Answer?

I will outline how Particle Physics at accelerators has played a crucial role in answering fundamental questions about the behavior of Nature. I will identify what the fundamental questions today are which are not yet answered and argue that accelerator based research will be continue to be an essential component to be able to address them.
