Going beyond RD/RD* in the b -> c tau nu anomalies

This event is part of the HET Seminar Series.

I will give an overview of the current status and future prospects of the RD/RD* anomalies. Currently, many new physics models with LH and RH neutrinos can potentially explain the anomalies. I will explain how future measurements of other observables such as tau polarization asymmetries may serve to distinguish between these models. I will also discuss recent measurements of FLD* (the D* longitudinal polarization asymmetry) and R(J/psi) that greatly exceed their SM predictions and examine their implications for new physics.
