In this talk, we are considering a class of dark matter models, and using a vector portal dark matter model as an example. The masses of the dark matter and mediator is of the same order of magnitude, which could naturally arise in a hidden sector characterized by a single scale. It gives the correct relic density, but also implies a self-interaction cross section of the right size to solve the cusp/core problem, while remaining consistent with stringent CMB constraints on light dark matter and the possibility of discovery in upcoming direct detection experiments.
