Light Relics and Next Generation CMB Observations

Speaker: Joel Meyers, CITA/Toronto

When: October 26, 2016 (Wed), 03:30PM to 04:30PM (add to my calendar)
Location: PRB 565

This event is part of the HET Seminar Series.

Ongoing and future CMB observations will allow for fundamentally new insights into physics beyond the standard model and the very early universe. I will discuss theoretical targets for CMB constraints on light relics and the path toward reaching those goals. I will also highlight a particularly robust signature of light relics in the CMB power spectra and discuss the role of delensing the CMB in improving constraints.
