NEUTRINO SEMINAR: Exploring nature with neutrinos <---> Exploring neutrinos with nature
This event is part of the Departmental Seminars.
What happened to all the anti-matter? What mechanism allowed matter to dominate in the early universe? Is there a source of CP-violation we have yet to uncover? Neutrinos could provide the answer to these questions and explain our very existence. To get to the bottom of this mystery, we first need to understand the intrinsic properties of neutrinos. I will discuss two complimentary neutrino experiments, DUNE and SNO+, that could provide the answers we seek. I will also highlight DUNE's unique potential to observe new-physics from neutrino oscillations in matter and how SNO+ will provide a new mechanism for probing the Dirac/Majorana nature of the neutrino beyond what's achievable with today's technology.
