Abstract: Quantum field theories with approximate non-relativistic conformal symmetry (NRCFTs) arise in many distinct areas of physics, from condensed matter and cold atoms to QCD. In this talk, I will discuss the constraints imposed by unitarity and conformal invariance on the structure of the operator product expansion (OPE) in such field theories, in particular unitary bounds and the OPE convergence rate. Possible implications of these results for observables of experimental relevance will also be discussed.
