Abstract: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is currently at a turning point in its operation. With the LHC currently shut down and not expected to turn back on until 2015, CMS is focusing on both finishing up analyses of the 2012 data as well as upgrading the detector for the run in 2015. This talk will focus on a search for exotic WZ resonances using the 2012 data as well as work on an upgrade of the CMS High Level Trigger (HLT).
