In early, the Inner Vessel made the move from the Cryopit to the Cube Hall. Then it was lowered into the Outer Vessel. Here are some photographs.

MiniCLEAN First Light!
This is a plot (by Tom Caldwell, Penn) showing the centroid of the PMT hits from a low level coincidence trigger. The MiniCLEAN inner vessel (see pictures below) is running with vacuum. All 92 PMTs are operating and the DAQ system is recording the data. You can see that the centroids cluster at the PMT location in theta-phi, which is consistent with Cherenkov light from radioactivity in the PMT glass.
SNOLab (and MiniCLEAN) on PBS News Hour
SNOLab was featured on PBS News Hour today. There were many scenes of going underground and the experiments in SNOLab, including MiniCLEAN. You can watch the segment from this link:

Dark Testing Potential Problem PMTs Underground
PMT in dark box for dark testing underground. LED is pulsed with NIM random pulse generator, 60 ns, 2 V pulses at 100 Hz. Data acquisition uses LeCroy 104xi waverunner. We tested four PMTs which had abnormal conductivity test results, plus one which was designated spare due to abnormal cold test results at BU. The four with abnormal conductivity all tested well, and will be inserted into detector. The designated spare continued to have abnormal positive afterpulses, likely a reflection cause by problem on base. Will continue to be spare, and if needed base will be replaced.
