ivgold The concepts are usually clear, but more demonstrations and visual aids would make a better learning environment. jcwhit just trying to get the hang of a course that utilizes the internet so much harif The class is going very well so far. lopezk I think this is a little too easy. We shouldn't spend a lot of time on this. When i read through the text, I didn't learn anything i didn't already know from HS physics. zahar Please, spend more time on showing how the formulas from the book can be applied. etasch I find the book harder to read than the other physic book I had in high school. I find demonstrations done by the professors to be extremely helpful and entertaining. However, I find that it would help me to spend more time on the mathematical aspects of physics. mjctkd I got no sleep last night! I can't even watch the Super Bowl, I have so much work to do. I'm going with the Ravens though. hessm Thanks for warming the classroom up. kml13 I didn't know what to expect or when we were supposed to do these warm-up exercises. Are we supposed to do them before we do the weekly assignment or after? I just saw that it was here and opened it up to complete it. lpage I find the demostrations in class interesting and it's nice to have a break from the lecture. dwalker I like what we did in class, but I would like to see more difficult examples being shown in class. I believe that may increase my understanding of this topic. rayyala i think that we need to go over the concepts in the first problem again in class. smalcolm I wasn't sure what to do on #3. Is the normal force only 6 Newtons because there is a 4 N force also acting up and the box is at rest or is the normal force still gonna be 10 N. monicad I like the way things are going. I find the homework challenging but doable, and the lectures helpful. I hope when we have a test it will not be tricky, though, as seems to be the trend with classes like this one. chown I am surprisingly at a lack of things to say at present sascott I don't particularly enjoy the reading for this class. It seems to be from quite a different angle than the lecture. Also, being in a Friday discussion, I don't find my tf's help very beneficial. I would think that there would be some way for him to get his answer sheet to the Friday people before the last minute. shazeeb These assignments are good in giving us a brief intro to the next unit. It boosts up our mind to get ready for the coming up material. It improves our way of thinking as well. I like these short assignments. ikhayal I don't know if we're going too fast in class, or if we're not doing enough practice problems, but when I come to do my homework I feel as if all this stuff is new to me, and I start to worry. nberger nothing really too dificult, except identifying the different forces correctly chalklet The class is going at a good pace and that these assignments really get students ready for the lecture and the homework. bgrigos the actual problems are worded a little unusally. Question 3 was a little confusing because i wasn't able to visualize the box and the force vectors immediately. twong i like the experiments that are done during class =)the only really bad thing i can think of is that class starts at 8. rume There's a lot (too much) to do in the course. There is no time for me to read on my own. Please, I hope you will permit us to carry a small paper containig formulae into the exams. iansmith This assignment seemed a little easier, i am really liking the class, it is getting harder, but i think i can hold on dpitlor I think it would be helpful to go over more things in class that would help with the more difficult homework questions. leonadan because it is static friction times gravitational force. pjung no comment at the moment jcastle um, i haven't learned any of the material that deals with the questions above. I hope that this will be taken into consideration :) rabu That friction one got me for a second. I was saying in my head "Hey, we haven't done friction yet!" he he good day professors :-) kidcolin Nothing this week. erikd The net force down is 6 so it can be looked at as a 6 N force if you don't worry about the others. You then multiply 6 by .8. juanc None, I'm happy with the class. tnorton The following chapters, 3 and 4, seem to be alot more challenging than the previous chapters. I have looked at the homework assignment (#2), and its seems alot more difficult as well. I hope we will spend more time on these upcoming chapters than we did on the first. drummel umm i missed the warm up for last week its, its definatly my fault but can i make it up in any way bdsachs uhh, i havent done the reading for class so I guess that was alright. I'm sure it will be thoroughly exhilirating, and I can hardly wait until I start it. I will do that now. The class has not been at all boring, so I'm overall pleased WHEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!! mitesht On an exam, are we expected to memorize equations? or will we be given a sheet? I should ideally ask this on the message board. ebaker The reading for class is helpful if i read the material before the lecture. I really enjoy the in class demonstrations. agulsrud I like WEBCT gbrun No comments dlitvak The demonstrations in class are very helpful in understanding the material. manishad THIS IS SOOOO CONFUSING; i definitely need help. the different forces confuse me because i dont know how they effect the object. crivero Class has been going good so far. Although i find that its hrd to answere the homework questions, I would like to cover more of the book during class.
