Right-Hand Rule for Direction of Angular Velocity and Angular Acceleration:

Curl the fingers of your right hand in the direction of the angular motion. Your thumb points in the direction of the angular velocity (or the angular acceleration), the axle direction.

Important: Be careful of the sign!

If the angular velocity is increasing, the angular velocity and angular acceleration are parallel.

If the angular velocity is decreasing, the angular velocity and angular acceleration are antiparallel.
