Three Dimensional Image Reconstruction of the Weinberg phantom
Illustration of Weinberg phantom
Reconstructed images from the Weinberg phantom with uniform background
activity. The top image shows a cross-sectional slice of the object
through the 11cm x 11cm place mid-way between the two detectors. The hot
spot activity s 10x that of the uniform background, and the hot-spot
volume is 1.0cc (left) and 0.5cc (right). The bottom image shows a
3-demensional rendering (rendered by the Silicon Graphics "Explorer"
program) of the activity distribution above a fixed threshold. No activity
outside the hot-spots survives the threshold cut.
