This page describes how to operate the oven in Lab 270 (PRB 270 on 3 Cummington St.) for normalization of acrylic strips while bending and twisting. This does not say much about the special bending jigs that are built for different situations. I'll try to separate out that part so this How-To can stay as generic as possible.

First, make sure you have 3 days to do the whole thing, because it takes 50+ hours just for the bending/normalization process. Then there is the preparation time before that which will take about a day depending on the job. I'll assume the straight guides are characterized (with respect to our standard normalization guide) and that the bending jig is correctly installed ready for action, and fans and oven are working fine. I also assume that the Linux machine is working well, and that you do have some familiarity with Linux (command line and a text editor).
