Arrival and Lodging: We suggest that you arrive on Thursday afternoon or evening and depart on Saturday. You may also tack on an extra night to explore Boston. Lodging information and reservations can be obtained through Mirtha Cabello (cabello@buphy.bu.edu, 617-353-2623). Most of you will stay at the Buckminster Hotel next to BU's campus:

07:30 pm :   welcome dinner with BU graduate students at Scoozi , 580 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.

Friday 4/3
9:00 - 11:30 :  Breakfast, welcome and Mini-Symposium on research (schedule below)
11:30 - 1:00 :  Lunch with graduate students
1:30 - 4:00   :  one-on-one conversations with faculty Research posters and coffee, SIF tour, lab visits
4:00 - 5:00   :  poster session, SCI basement
6:00 - 9:00   :  Dinner at Photonics 9th floor (8 St Marys Street, Boston).

Saturday 4/4
9:30 - 9:45     :  Meet Prof Shyam Erramilli at Pavement Coffehouse at 736 Commonwealth Ave.
9:45 - 11:30   :  Tour of Photonics Research Labs with Shyam (617-750-7147 cell)
11:30 - 12:00 :  T-ride to Chinatown
12:00 - 1:30   :  Dim Sum lunch at Hei La Moon at 88 Beach St in Chinatown (617-338-8813).
1:30               :  end of program, sight-seeing.

Activities in Boston:
After lunch you are free to take some time to look around Boston. We can recommend visits to the Aquarium and art museums (MFA or Isabella Stewart Gardner). If the weather is nice, simply walking around the Freedom Trail and Boston Common and Boston Public Garden may be nice.
