Brief Bio

George O. Zimmerman is a Professor Emeritus at the Boston University Physics Department. He has been with the Department since 1963. He received his BS in Physics (1958) and his Masters (1959) and Ph.D. (1963) degrees from Yale University.

While at Boston University, he served as the Physics Department Chairman (1971-1983), Chairman of the Faculty Council (1986-1987), and various other University-wide committees.
