Hi Edgar,
I am studying the program AnalyzeRootuple.C, and I remember that we were playing with the code during class. One thing that you did is to plot a histogram for mu_charge, and you declared the float variable mu_charge by the statement: float mu_charge[200]. But I don’t understand why it’s 200…
And what happens when the statement “mytree->AddBranchAddress(“mu_charge”,μ_charge)” is executed? I originally thought that it is to turn the pointer to the branch called “mu_charge” existed in mytree. But when I check the Function Members in TTree, it says the function AddBranchAddress() returns an integer. What does that integer means? Is it a temperary label for the computer to point to where mu_charge is stored?
Thanks, Elim =)

Hey,
I just realized I left a lecture off of our schedule for classes at UniGe. Sorry about this! I corrected the schedule. There IS a QM class Wednesday evening from 4-6pm Which makes me worry about conflicts with the computing class from 2-4 on Wednesdays. I am very sorry about this.

Elim and I cannot get our presentation to appear on the website even using her MAC. We are not sure what is going on. Also I emailed Guoan again because Vista still has problems doing this.

This maybe a stupid question, but does anyone know how to upload the slides to the “BU WebDAV space”? I uploaded my slides under the media here, but I don’t know if that is what it means (maybe I am wrong). Arno said something about instructions for Guoan? I am not sure if I got that email….
Thanks, Andrea

Here is what I can gather about our UniGe schedule. The E/M was sent out by Prof Pohl. The QM I got from the agenda book which I assume is right. I also assume that the Tuesday class is the lecture. My guess is that there will be an English discussion for QM also (hopefully).
M: 10-12noon E/M lecture (main auditorium in Ecole de physique)
2-3pm E/M discussion in English (DPNC Library Room 211 in Ecole de physique )
T: 10-12noon QM
W: 4-6pm QM
T: 10-12noon QM
F: 2-4pm E/M discussion (lecture hall A50B in Science I)
I’ll update it as we get more info. Classes start Feb 22nd.
