Biography:
Alan grew up in a small town along the New Jersey Coast. He attended Brown University where he worked in the experimental nano-biophysics lab of Prof. Derek Stein. Then he joined the physics Ph.D. program at Boston University and worked with Prof. Shyam Erramilli and Prof. Ken Rothschild using laser spectroscopy to study protein configurations. He currently works with Prof. Sid Redner in the Condensed Matter Theory Group and the Center of Polymer Studies.
