Michael J. Manfra was born in Boston Massachusetts in 1969. He received the AB degree with honors in physics from Harvard University in 1992. In 1999 he received a PhD from Boston University. From 1999 to 2000 he was a postdoctoral member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies. Since 2001 he has been a member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories. His research interests include growth and transport studies of GaAs and GaN based two-dimensional electron systems.
