SUMMARY:Spontaneous CP Violation vs. Collective Symmetry Breaking
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Ze'ev Surujon\, UCSD\n\nPart of the HET Seminar Serie
s.\n\nAbstract:\nLittle Higgs models often feature spontaneously broken ext
ra global symmetries\, which must also be explicitly broken in order to avo
id massless scalars in the spectrum. Such explicit breaking might interfere
with the requirement of collective symmetry breaking\, leading to constrai
nts on model building. Moreover\, it may lead to new sources of CP violatio
n from physical phases in the VEV. We discuss such relation between spontan
eous CP violation and explicit breaking of global symmetries\, in the conte
	xt of SU(N)/SO(N) models.
