SUMMARY:Searching for Dark Matter
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Steve Ahlen\, Boston University\nPoster: http://physi
	cs.bu.edu/internal//posters/2010_Spring/HEES_01_Ahlen.pdf\n\nPart of the HE
E Seminar Series.\n\nThere is now overwhelming evidence for the existence o
f vast quantities of non-baryonic dark matter in the Universe. I will give
a brief overview of the current status of direct and indirect searches for
this mysterious stuff. Then I will concentrate on the future of these searc
hes\, including special attention to a novel experiment\, DMTPC. This exper
iment is being designed to be able to identify the direction of the "dark m
atter wind\," which will be crucial for the ultimate discovery of dark matt
	er.
