SUMMARY:A Twisted Ladder: relating the Fe superconductors to the high Tc cu
	prates
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Erez Berg\, Harvard University\n\nPart of the Condens
ed Matter Theory Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract: We construct a two-leg ladder
model of an Fe-pnictide superconductor and discuss its properties and rela
tionship with the familiar two-leg cuprate model. Our results suggest that
the underlying pairing mechanism for the Fe-pnictide superconductors is sim
ilar to that for the cuprates. A\ntwo-orbital extension of this ladder mode
l allows us to study the pairing symmetry and nematic ordering in the Fe pn
	ictides.
