SUMMARY:Frustrated\, degenerate\, and breaking apart: the Bright Side of Li
	fe in triangular lattice
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Sasha Chernyshev\, University of California\, Irvine\
n\nPart of the Condensed Matter Theory Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract:\n\nAn e
vidence will be presented that despite some seemingly negative\nconnotation
of the words in the title\, the life of spin excitations in \nfrustrated q
uantum magnets is very interesting.\nWe demonstrate that the spin-wave exci
tations in a wide class of\nfrustrated antiferromagnets are unstable with r
espect to\nspontaneous two-magnon decays leading to the overdamped spectra.
\nTheir spectra also exhibit threshold singularities which lead to strong\n
enhancement of the decay rates along special contours in the momentum\nspac
	e. Such singularities can serve as fingerprints of magnon decays\,\nwhich s
hould help future experiments to distinguish the decay-induced \nspin-wave
broadening from the other scenarios that may yield broad spectra\nof spin e
	xcitations.
