SUMMARY:When Worlds Collide
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Thomas Levi\, NYU\n\nPart of the HET Seminar Series.\
n\nAbstract: I will discuss some cosmological implications of the string th
eory landscape\, focusing on Coleman-de Luccia bubbles and scenarios in whi
ch two such bubbles collide. I will analyze the dynamics of these collision
s in the thin wall limit and discuss potentially observable signals in the
CMB such as hemispherical power asymmetry and cold spots.
