	n\nAbstract:\nIn this talk I will discuss two specific applications of poly
	mer models to understand biological functions. The first example will conce
	rn segregation of polymers in a confined geometry\, and its application to 
	cell division. The second example is a minimal\, stochastic model that capt
	ures essential features of microtubule dynamics\, i/n vivo/.
