SUMMARY:Escaping many-body localization in a single eigenstate via an emerg
	ent symmetry.
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Srivatsa Nagara Srinivasa Prasanna \, MPIPKS \n\nPart
of the Biophysics/Condensed Matter Seminar Series.\n\nMany-body localizati
on (MBL) is a well known example of ergodicity breaking in quantum many-bod
y systems. However\, symmetries are known to strongly influence the fate of
MBL physics. In this talk\, I will describe how an emergent symmetry in a
single eigenstate of a disordered model protects it from MBL while not prev
enting the rest of the states in the spectrum from many-body localizing. I
will motivate how such an example calls for exploring "inverted quantum sca
rs"\, namely\, non-area law states embedded in a spectrum of localized stat
	es.\n\nReference : Phys. Rev. Lett. 125\, 240401 (2020)\n\nJoin on Zoom: h
