SUMMARY:Quantum Coulomb glass on the Bethe lattice
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Izabella Lovas\, LMU\, Munich\n\nPart of the Biophysi
cs/Condensed Matter Seminar Series.\n\nWe study the Coulomb glass emerging
from the interplay of strong interactions and disorder in a model of spinle
ss fermions on the Bethe lattice\, in the limit of infinite coordination nu
mber. By combining continuous time quantum Monte-Carlo simulations with sel
f-consistent diagrammatic perturbation theory\, we find that strong interac
tions induce a metallic Coulomb glass phase with a pseudogap structure at t
he Fermi energy. Quantum and thermal fluctuations both melt this glass and
induce a disordered quantum liquid phase. We obtain the complete phase diag
ram of the electron glass\, and characterize its dynamical properties in th
e replica symmetric quantum liquid phase\, as well as in the glassy phase i
n the presence of full replica symmetry breaking. The spectral function dis
plays an Efros-Shklovskii pseudogap upon decreasing temperatures\, but the
density of states remains finite at the Fermi energy due to residual quantu
m fluctuations. Our results bear relevance to the metallic glass phase obse
	rved in Si inversion layers.\n\nhttps://bostonu.zoom.us/j/98731662171?pwd=V
