	he Heisenberg uncertainty principle sets a noise floor\, known as the stand
	ard quantum limit\, in many high-precision measurements such as atomic magn
	etometry and NMR. This limit can be circumvented by preparing the probes in
	 spin-squeezed states which reduce the variance in the measured observable 
	at the cost of increasing the variance in a conjugate observable. In this t
	alk\, I will introduce spin-squeezed states and explore possible ways they 
	might be generated in the CASPEr-electric experiment\, a high-precision NMR
	 experiment searching for axions and axion like particles.
