SUMMARY:Results from\, and Prospects for\, the NA62 (Very Rare Kaon Decay-
	in-Flight) Experiment at CERN
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Phil Rubin\, George Mason University\nHosted by: Zeyn
	ep Demiragli\n\nPart of the HEE Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract: The NA62 Expe
	riment at CERN was commissioned in 2015\, and \ncollected data in 2016\, 20
	17\, and 2018\, recording ~5 x 10^12 kaon decays \nin-flight.  From the 201
	6 and 2017 data\, three candidate events in the \nK+ -> pi+ nu nu_bar mode
	have been identified\, of which 1.65 +/- 0.31 \nare expected to be backgrou
	nd. These data have also yielded results on \nother rare kaon decay and ex
	otic processes. We describe these\, as well \nas ongoing analyses of the t
	he 2018 dataset (twice the size of 2017's) \nand efforts to improve signal
	efficiency and mitigate upstream \nbackgrounds in anticipation of additiona
	l data taking to begin in 2021.
