SUMMARY:The Hunt for Dark Matter: Hints and New Searches
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Rebecca Leane\, MIT\n\nPart of the HET Seminar Series
.\n\nHow do we find dark matter? In this talk\, I will discuss recent advan
cements in our understanding of hints of dark matter\, as well as new searc
h strategies for the dark sector. In particular\, I will highlight one of t
he most compelling long-standing hints at the heart of our own galaxy\, and
its potential interpretation as a signal of annihilating dark matter. I wi
ll also demonstrate the power of complementary searches using celestial bod
	ies in new ways.
