SUMMARY:Indirect searches for dark matter with neutrinos
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Katarzyna Frankiewicz\, Boston University\nHosted by:
Christopher Grant\n\nPart of the HEE Seminar Series.\n\nOne of the strateg
ies for dark matter detection is to search for the products of its self-ann
ihilation or decay\, such as antimatter\, photons\, or neutrinos. The later
are particularly interesting since they can travel unaffected through the
galactic scales. I'll present the searches for an excess of neutrinos from
possible dark matter sources such as Sun\, Earth's core and Galactic Center
\, compared to the expected atmospheric neutrino background\, which were pe
rformed with 20 years of data collected with the Super-Kamiokande detector.
