	eruniform many-particle systems in d-dimensional\nEuclidean space are chara
	cterized by an unusual\nsuppression of density fluctuations at large length
	s scales. All perfect\ncrystals\, perfect quasicrystals and exotic disorder
	ed patterns\nare hyperuniform [1]. Thus\, the hyperuniformity concept provi
	des\na unified theoretical framework to categorize a large class\nof ordere
	d and disordered systems. Disordered hyperuniform many-particle\nsystems ca
	n be regarded to be new states of disordered matter in that they\nbehave mo
	re like crystals or quasicrystals in the manner in which they\nsuppress lar
	ge-scale density fluctuations\, and yet are also like liquids\nand glasses 
	because they are statistically isotropic structures with no\nBragg peaks. S
	uch exotic amorphous states of matter exist as both\nequilibrium and nonequ
	ilibrium phases and come in quantum-mechanical and\nclassical varieties. I 
	will provide an overview of the hyperuniformity\nconcept and its generaliza
	tions. Topics covered include how optimal\nhyperuniform point configuration
	s can be posed as energy-minimization\nproblems; rank order of crystals\, q
	uasicrystals and disordered\nhyperuniform systems via a hyperuniformity ind
	ex; disordered classical\nground states that are hyperuniform and highly de
	generate; fermionic\npoint processes; zeros of the Riemann zeta function\, 
	directional\nhyperuniformity and novel physical properties [2]. I will also
	 discuss\nhow the hyperuniformity concept motivated a recent study that has
	\nuncovered previously unknown multiscale order in the prime numbers [3].\n
