SUMMARY:"Double Higgs production at the LHC"
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Peisi Huang \, University of Nebraska \n\nPart of the
HET Seminar Series.\n\nIn this talk\, I will discuss how to probe new phys
ics through double Higgs process at the LHC. In the first part\, I will sho
w that there is a strong correlation between the Higgs trilinear coupling a
nd the nature of EWPT. Then I will discuss how to probe those non-SM values
of the trilinear coupling by making use of the modifications in the invari
ant mass distribution. In the second part\, I will show the possible modifi
cations to the double Higgs production in the presence of a light stop and
a modified top coupling. Because of the destructive interference of the tr
iangle and the box diagram amplitude contributions to the double Higgs prod
uction\, even a small modification in the top Yukawa coupling can lead to a
significant increase of the double Higgs production rate.
