SUMMARY:Statistics of fractionalized excitations through threshold spectros
	copy
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Siddhardh Chandra Morampudi\nHosted by: Christopher L
aumann\n\nPart of the Condensed Matter Theory Seminar Series.\n\nWe show th
at the anyonic statistics of fractionalized excitations display characteris
tic signatures in threshold spectroscopic measurements. Drawing motivation
from topologically ordered phases such as gapped quantum spin liquids and f
ractional Chern insulators which possess fractionalized excitations\, we co
nsider gapped systems with abelian anyonic excitations. The low energy onse
t of associated correlation functions near the threshold show universal beh
aviour depending on the statistics of the anyons. This explains some recent
theoretical results in spin systems and also provides a route towards dete
cting statistics in experiments such as neutron scattering and tunneling sp
	ectroscopy. \nReferences: \n[1] S.C. Morampudi\, A.M. Turner\, F. Pollmann\
