SUMMARY:Many-body localization and its signatures in quantum quenches
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Dr. Rajeev Singh\, MPIPKS\, Dresden\n\nPart of the Co
ndensed Matter Theory Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract: The presence of disorder
	 in a non-interacting system can\nlocalize all the energy eigenstates\, a p
henomena dubbed Anderson\nlocalization. Many-body localization is an extens
ion of this phenomena\nto include interactions. Effects of interactions sho
w up in the\nlogarithmic growth of entanglement after a global quench. We p
erform a\nsystematic study of the evolution and saturation of entanglement
and\nshow that it can be used to detect the localization transition. We\nco
nsider the bipartite fluctuation which also captures the transition\nand is
promising as an experimental probe. We compare these results to\nthat of a
non-interacting system and note important differences\nbetween the two.
